Experience and Promotion

EuroBijoux, from localism to globalisation

What is now known as EuroBijoux was born in 1972 as the "Semana de la Bisuterķa Menorquina" (the Minorcan Fashion Jewellery Week) with the aim of promoting the industry of the island. Very soon its creators, the Minorcan manufacturers association, saw that it was necessary to open the doors of the fair firstly to Spanish producers and later to the Europeans. In 1986 the Fair adopted the category of being an international fashion fair, adopting the name of EuroBijoux.

Minorca, the Balearics and Spain, leaders in fashion jewellery

To understand why EuroBijoux, the main fashion jewellery and accessories Fair, takes place here, it is important to know that Spain is the main producing country of the European Union and that Minorca and the Balearic Islands combined contribute 21% of the country's total production.

At the present EuroBijoux and SEBIME actively work with the main European organizations of the sector to promote the continent's industry all over the world.
