Before the celebration of the 5th edition of the Pasarela EuroBijoux held last 9th of May, SEBIME announced the 5th edition awards given to manufacturers-exhibitors and young designers organised yearly by the Organising Committe of EuroBijoux & Accessories.
Likewise, the gallery of young designers at the fair is the space reserved for the exhibition of national and international young designers’ creations that are eligible for one of the three awards granted by EuroBijoux.
The prestige and specificity of these awards has caused that, over the last years, the participants quota -which for space reason is limited to 36- has been:
EuroBijoux Gold: Daniel Fábregas, 2,000 euros + a trip (round trip + accommodation) for two people (winner and companion), for a week in Menorca on any date, except from the 15th of July to the 15th of September and subject to availability.
EuroBijoux Silver: Noemi Foguet, 1,000 euros
EuroBijoux Bronze: Jordi Bou Sangüesa, 500 euros
Special mentions to : Escola Arsenal for its simplicity, lightneess, and flexibility and to Goldschmiedeschule for its mixture of materials.
All exhibitors of EuroBijoux Mahón 2008 will be included within the EuroBijoux Manufacturer's Awards which awards three prizes to the New Classic, Best Innovative Materials and Avant-Garde Design categories with a prize of 2000 € and a statue to each category winner.
Likewise, EuroBijoux and Accessories -the organizing Committee of the International Fair of European Fashion Jewellery Manufacturers- announces the EuroBijoux Manufacturers’ awards 2008. The objective of this contest is to promote, among the manufacturers exhibiting at EuroBijoux & Accessories, the presentation of collections which provide special attractiveness regarding innovative material, vanguard design, new classic, as well as the means used to launch the product at the fair. Three awards are given with this aim:
- Polsiart- EuroBijoux Award for the Best Innovative Material:
For the manufacturer introducing the best treatment on new materials in their collections.
- As de Plata - EuroBijoux Award for the Best Vanguard Design:
For the best new design, innovative in shapes and concepts.
- Madreperla- EuroBijoux Award for the Best New Classic:
For the manufacturer introducing the best collection within the classic tendencies of Fashion Jewellery.
Each award will consist of a numbered reproduction of the original sculpture created for this purpose and will be worth 2,000 €.
